The RGB color format is a way that computers use to represent colors in images, video games, and other digital media. The acronym stands for the three primary colors of light: red, green, and blue. In order to create a color with an RGB value, you add values together from 0-255 in each color channel. For example, black is created by setting the Red, Green, Blue values to 0.
Hexadecimal (hex) color values are used to specify colors in web design and other work involving computer graphics. While the hex format is often associated with web design, it can be used in any type of graphic or digital imaging. The hex value for a color is represented by 6 digits, each digit corresponding to a particular level of brightness.
