We are at our most productive when we are getting enough sleep, but with busy workdays, early morning wake-up calls, late-night Netflix sessions, and last-minute cramming for an exam, sleep can be hard to come by.
What is sleep debt? Sleep debt occurs when you consistently fail to get the recommended amount of sleep in order to stay in good physical and mental health.
A few nights of missed sleep can mean that you have a "sleep debt" which can have several negative effects on your mind and body. If you keep up the pattern, you will feel generally more irritable, depressed, and get more easily frustrated. Your memory may get worse, affecting your ability to focus at work or school.
